For all of us have looked up into space and wondered what is out there, this set is for you!
Discovering Space is exactly that, an engaging and colourful educational resource not only showing where the planets sit in relation to the Sun, but the hardy cork balls (wood have nothing on these in toughness!) are scaled to show which are biggest to smallest relative to each other. Not completely to scale or the Sun wouldn’t fit in your street!
Consisting of the Sun and Moon, as well as Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune all planets are hand painted in colours to match the planet names on the wooden board.
Great not only as an educational tool but in creative play for all the budding astronauts out there!
Travelling in Space (12 Pieces)
Time to explore our universe by taking a trip into space. This 12 piece solar system comes with all the planets in our solar system, both a male and female astronaut and a rocket. Perfect for imaginative play as well as a great conversation starter to introduce interesting facts about our Solar System. This is an excellent toy for children to promote social and imaginative play while encouraging them to feel positive and confident while they learn through play. The generously sized pieces have been printed using non-toxic heat transfer technology to ensure longevity of the artwork.
Playing with Planets (8 Pieces)
It’s time to blast into outer space and explore our Solar System with these beautifully illustrated blocks. This set features 8 blocks with each planet not only illustrated in detail but also labelled with name and on the reverse side the size dimensions.
Freckled Frog’s Stacking Planet are in size order to what is true of the size of the real planets .Mercury being the smallest, followed by Mars and so on.
Children will enjoy stacking the blocks and as their skills develop they will be able to name and express features of each planet. “ The Earth is blue and green”, “Jupiter is the biggest”.
It really is learning through play at its best. As their curiosity grows they will love learning more about the size of the planets and their position in relation to the Earth.

I set up the mat and the wooden parts before leaving for work and then get this video from my partner. Very happy that it amuses my child and provides the option for open ended play. She loves seeing the animals we don’t see that often.

Last week, the three police officers from town came out to the station for some morning tea. The boys couldn’t stop talking about them (or making siren noises) once they’d left. Our village, vehicles, road and people were the perfect way to follow up that experience and keep the conversation going. One of my favourite things about these toys is the range of people in the set. It allows for plenty of conversations about roles in the community, diversity, culture and family structures.

Who am i? A little game we did this morning. These flashcards are from the freckled frog and its such a fun little game to match the skin to the animal. If you watched my stories you can have a glimpse of our game we did this morning. Set up a little play dough invitation for this afternoon whilst I prepared dinner. And let me say it was a hit. Happy Litte Architect range. Great for both kids working very much in the Enclosure Schema right now; but, it’s excellent problem solving for the clever kid—who, mostly loses her mind if she doesn’t understand it instantly. It is forcing her to stop and think and problem solve a little more.
